Ana-Maria Matei new Head of Internal Audit at Swedbank

Ana-Maria Matei most recently comes from Handelsbanken, where she has worked with Internal Audit at top management level for several years. She has over 18 years of experience in auditing, whereof mostly from senior assignments within the financial sector.

The recruitment of Ana-Maria Matei as new Head of Internal Audit will help to further strengthen an important key function within the bank. She has a solid experience in auditing from authorities, the financial sector and the consulting industry.

Group Internal Audit is responsible for developing and maintaining a quality assurance and improvement program for the bank as stated in the Board's internal audit policy at Swedbank AB.

In her new role, Ana-Maria Matei will report directly to Bo Magnusson, Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Bank's Audit Committee. She begins her new role at Swedbank
as of the 1st of April, 2020.
