Changes within Swedish Banking in Swedbank
Birgitte Bonnesen, CEO of Swedbank, has decided to implement an organisational change within the Swedish Banking business area, and will until further notice take on the role of Head of Swedish Banking.
Christer Trägårdh, currently Head of Swedish Banking, will in connection with the change take on a role as Deputy Group Credit Officer, with special responsibility for developing future-oriented credit processes.
“With our private and corporate customers in focus, Christer has contributed to creating Sweden’s leading digital bank with a physical presence. Now we are entering the next phase of transforming the bank and continuing the process of creating a uniform customer experience regardless of channel. That is why I have decided to take on a greater responsibility of my own for our largest business area, Swedish Banking,” says Birgitte Bonnesen, President and CEO Swedbank.
Effective immediately, Swedish Banking will be organised according to the following areas: Sales & Service; Segment Management Private & Small Corporates; Segment Management Corporates; and Business Development Lending. The Sales & Service area will include the Swedish branches and Contact Center.
“In a time of rapid change, it is more important than ever to ensure that we develop in a customer-centric way. With a focus on customer service, proactivity and strong distribution regardless of channel, we are taking an important step forward in our Swedish retail operations,” says Birgitte Bonnesen.
