Rolf Marquardt new Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Swedbank

Rolf Marquardt most recently comes from Handelsbanken where he is CFO and has worked in the financial area since 2002. For six years he was Chief Risk Officer and he also has experience from compliance and risk control at group level in Handelsbanken.

The recruitment of Rolf Marquardt helps to further strengthen a very important key function within the bank. He has many years of banking experience from several senior positions and also a good overview of the industry since time at the Swedish Bankers' Association.

Among other things, Group Risk is responsible for identifying, quantifying, analyzing and reporting risks and conducting independent analyzes and stress tests of how events in the outside world affect Swedbank.

 

In his new role, Rolf will report directly to the CEO and the board and be part of the bank's Group Executive Committee. He will take up his position at Swedbank at the latest at 1 October 2020.
