One of SLP's newly built properties, Fyllinge 20:434 in Halmstad, has been the first building in the logistics segment to receive a net zero certification. Net zero is a certification system with a focus on net zero climate impact that has been developed by the Sweden Green Building Council, of which SLP is a member. The certification covers the building's built-in climate impact, its climate impact in operation, and balances the impact that arises through climate measures.

"We are very pleased to be the first company in the segment to obtain this certification for a new construction. The certification is a proof that the building has low energy consumption and climate impact, which brings positive value for the tenant as well as for SLP", says Tommy Åstrand, CEO of SLP.

In collaboration with the tenant Halmstad Delivery, SLP has conducted a series of sustainable investments in the newly built property. Among other things, a reduced amount of construction materials, Swedish-produced facade elements and 100 percent renewable energy have been used in the property and charging posts for electric cars have been installed. A project regarding the installation of a solar cell system of 499 kW, corresponding to an estimated annual production of roughly 442,000 kWh, is underway.

"Over the past two years, we at Halmstad Delivery have developed into a supplier for all logistics needs, and our new logistics center has been a prerequisite for being able to offer our customers both more efficient and more sustainable solutions. That is why we are extra proud that our investment together with our partner SLP has made us the first logistics center in Sweden to receive the net zero certification", says Helena Barany, CEO of Halmstad Delivery.
