Erica Ehm announced as master of ceremonies for West Coast Social Media Awards
Creator and Publisher of YummyMummyClub.ca and former MuchMusic host to present keynote address
The organizers of the West Coast Social Media Awards are pleased to announce former rock and roll TV host turned digital publisher, Erica Ehm, will host the awards celebration Friday, June 8, 2012 in Victoria, BC. A born multi-tasker, Ehm will host the awards Friday night, and then takes a turn at the podium as keynote speaker on Saturday at the Social Media Camp conference which is held concurrently.
“I went from rock’n roll to rocking a cradle” says Ehm, who has created an online community for mothers struggling with the reality of being a modern parent. “As the site grew I immersed myself in social media when I realized there was a digital audience craving lessons on how to keep the woman in the mom.” The YummyMummyClub.ca website has multiple bloggers and is a powerful resource for women who see the world through the prism of motherhood.
Ehm’s funny and poignant blog reveals her own evolution from the world of rock and roll to motherhood, being a work from home entrepreneur and the truth about reinventing oneself. Ehm spent more than ten years on air on Canada’s nation music station MuchMusic, becoming one of the faces of her generation. A songwriter, actress and playwright, Ehm’s career expanded into theatre, radio, songwriting and publishing.
With her well known cheeky and playful nature, award ceremony attendees can expect to hear about Ehm’s personal experiences with starting and running a successful digital media company as well as her Twitter addiction.
