Organization Management Ranked as a Leading Management Journal

Organization Management Journal is ranked 10th among 84 academic journals offering publication in the field of management education according to the leading management education journal in the field, Academy of Management Learning & Education.*
In the June 2013 article by Russell L. Currie and Gurupdesh Pandhar, Organization Management Journal is ranked between 10th and 18th on various measures from among 84 journals. The authors have done an exhaustive survey of 317 “active scholars” from 38 countries to determine the ranking of the 84 academic journals that offer possible peer-reviewed publication in the field. To qualify for inclusion in the survey, respondents had to have at least two publications among the 84, but the median number of articles they had published was 19. Journals were ranked on measures of perceived quality, awareness by scholars, and importance in the field, where the latter was the result of a statistical formula derived from quality and awareness. Organization Management Journal came in 10th in quality and 18th in the other two measures.
