Victoria Gardner, Open Access Publisher at Taylor & Francis Group commented: “The term ‘Open Access’ has been in place for well over a decade. Myriad definitions around the term now exist, which often leads to confusion and misunderstanding. We hope that this film will address this through providing simple definitions of the two most commonly used terms, whilst making it clear that there are many shades of OA.”

The concise production combines motion graphics and voiceover to guide the author through the different forms of OA, and explains just what it's all about, offering definitions of the Gold and Green Open Access routes and the benefits of these.

Taylor & Francis Group have been publishing academic research since 1798 and on an open access basis since 2006. As the film confirms, ‘over 90% of Taylor & Francis Group journals offer authors the choice of both Gold and Green options which comply with the open access policies of major funders’.   Taylor & Francis offer a broad range of author options, enabling authors to publish their material in quality open access journals with a high degree of peer review integrity.
