Weatherwise Announces Winners of Annual Photo Contest

PHILADELPHIA (August 2013)— Wayne Wilson of Oroville, California has been chosen as the grand-prize winner of the Weatherwise 2013 Photo Contest. Each year, the judges receive stunning photos from readers and weather enthusiasts from around the globe, and this year, it was all about clouds. Wilson’s photo, featuring a cumulonimbus anvil cloud with inflowing cirrus, truly captures the majesty of Mother Nature. 2013’s winning shots include striking depictions of different cloud formations and examples of some other pretty spectacular weather phenomena.
