Taylor & Francis and The Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) are excited to publish IIE Transactions on Occupational Ergonomics & Human Factors in 2013. IIE TOEHF is “a journal by and for ergonomics and human factors researchers and practitioners” and seeks to promote new and important knowledge dealing with theory, technology, application, and practice pertaining to this field.

The journal has a primary and fundamental emphasis on people at work, and is committed to enhancing communication and information transfer between academics and practitioners. “We feel that the community will benefit greatly from the contributions of this new journal,” asserts Sunderesh Heragu, IIE Senior Vice President of Publications.

One of the distinguishing features of IIE TOEHF is the availability of a wide variety of article types in addition to traditional research studies, methods, and reviews. Submissions from practitioners are welcomed and several types of articles facilitate this specifically (e.g., position papers, viewpoints, emerging issues, applications, and case reports).

To celebrate the publication of this important new journal, Taylor & Francis is offering free access to the first issue’s Editorial, by Maury A. Nussbaum, Ann Bisantz, Ben-Tzion Karsh (deceased), Jim Potvin, Nadine Sarter, and Jeffrey Woldstad. To view this article visit: LINK.
