Capio selects TDC Song for Nordic data communication solution

(Stockholm, 27 February 2006) TDC Song has signed a frame agreement with Capio for the supply of data communication to the company’s Nordic health care and diagnostic units. The agreement is to extend for 5 years, at a value of about SEK 30 million, covering the services IP VPN and Internet Access.

Capio is one of Europe’s leading health care companies, with over 100 care and diagnostic units. By means of the agreement with TDC Song, Capio´s operations in the Nordic countries will be tied together in a unified data communication network. This will provide all the connected units with access to Capio´s central IT systems, as well as enable for services such as IP telephony and video conferencing. “TDC Song is supplying a unified network with a guaranteed high service level, which will ensure that our care units will have constant access to central IT systems,” says Lars Andréason, IT Manager for Capio AB. “Regardless of whether it is a matter of electronic storage of patients files or sending x-ray images between different care units for analysis, the network is a vital part of our daily business.” The care and diagnostic units´ are connected to the Capio network at capacities of 2-100 Mbit/s, which also gives them access to Internet.
