TELE2 ACQUIRES TISCALI’S DANISH OPERATIONS

New York and Stockholm – Tele2 AB, (“Tele2”), (Nasdaq Stock Market: TLTOA and TLTOB and Stockholmsbörsen: TEL2A and TEL2B), the leading alternative pan-European telecommunications company, today announced that it has acquired Tiscali’s Danish operations, Tiscali Denmark A/S, for MEUR 20.7 on a debt-free basis.

Tiscali Denmark has some 26,000 ADSL customers and more than 50,000 dial-up Internet customers. The acquisition also includes an extensive ADSL network, reaching over 65% of Danish households. Tiscali Denmark generated revenues of some MEUR 22 in 2004.
