TellusFashion attended a fashion PR workshop hosted by Rouge Noir PR and we picked up some great advice for designers:

•Set out a PR plan and evaluate it and how well it worked at the end.
•If you have an article published from a press release, stay in touch with the magazine or website who published it. Thank them for the article.
•Always know the publication you’re sending a press release to. If it’s a blog, approach them as a reader of their blog.
•If you host a press day, pick a theme that represents your collection and use it in the invitations, decorations and food and drink you serve.

The day was followed by presentations from Athina Amadi from Umbrella from Woman to Woman, a charity which teaches women business skills, including clothes production, to help them out of poverty, Emma Crosby from Triba Space, an online showroom for designers, Dani Riot, a fashion photographer, Tamara Stein, an opera singer looking for designers to create dresses for her on stage and TellusFashion’s Staffan Elfver.
