Teollisuuden Voima Oyj’s Environmental Report 2022 has been published

Teollisuuden Voima Oyj’s (TVO) Environmental Report is based on the requirements laid down in the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) Regulation and serves as a verified environmental statement of the operations of the Company.

The Environmental Report provides a comprehensive presentation of the environmental impacts of TVO's operations, the Company's objectives and their achievement with respect to environmental protection, as well as the key environmental indicators. The objectives and results of TVO’s Environment and Energy Efficiency Programme are reported annually in the Environmental Report. 

The report has been inspected by the Finnish Environment Institute, and it has been verified by DNV Business Assurance Finland Oy Ab in the capacity of an accredited, independent and objective party. 

TVO’s Environmental Report 2022 has been published on 31 March 2023 in Finnish and English, and is available on TVO’s website at www.tvo.fi/financialpublications. 
 

Teollisuuden Voima Oyj has produced electricity for its shareholders, Finnish industrial and energy companies, safely and reliably for over 40 years. Nuclear electricity generated at TVO's Olkiluoto plant covers approximately 30 percent of Finland’s electricity demand once Olkiluoto 3’s regular electricity production has started. Climate-friendly nuclear electricity not only benefits society but also reduces the environmental impact of energy production. Moreover, the world's first final disposal facility for spent nuclear fuel is under construction in Olkiluoto.
