Terveystalo's co-operation negotiations have ended
As a result of the co-operation negotiations, replacement work is offered in those positions where the work has temporarily decreased or the company's ability to provide work has temporarily decreased. Temporary layoffs will be implemented as a last resort.
As a result of the corona epidemic and changes in customer behavior, work is increasing in certain areas of health care, while in others, work is decreasing or interrupted.
"The exceptional situation requires Terveystalo to find flexible solutions which enable us to support the carrying capacity of the healthcare system and the company's ability to operate under these conditions as well as possible," says CEO Ville Iho.
Group-wide co-operation negotiations initiated by the company on 30 March were completed on Friday, 3 April 2020. As a result of the negotiations, Terveystalo primarily seeks to provide replacement work in those operations where the work has temporarily decreased or the company's conditions for offering work have temporarily decreased.
As a last resort, temporary layoffs are implemented in situations where work has been temporarily reduced, work cannot be replaced and / or the company's conditions for providing work have been temporarily reduced. Possible temporary layoffs are planned on an activity-by-function basis.
Temporary layoffs can be full-time or part-time and can last up to 90 days. Possible layoff notifications can be made from 6 April 2020 and temporary layoffs can start no earlier than five days after this. Layoff notifications will be made by 6 July 2020.
"The current crisis is a burden to all of us and I'm sorry for the uncertainty caused by this situation to all professionals working in Terveystalo. Our goal is to be able to offer replacement work and keep temporary layoffs to a minimum. Securing the widest possible range of services, despite the exceptional situation, is in the interests of customers, professionals and society as a whole. The value of professionalism grows in a crisis. As an example of this, the customer satisfaction of Terveystalo appointments is at a record high. For that I want to extend my warmest thank you to both our professionals and our customers,” Ville Iho continues.
