Terveystalo's strategy implementation is accelerated by changes in the operating model and Management Team

Terveystalo is renewing its operating model to better align with the needs of customers and to respond to the ongoing transformation in healthcare. The implementation of the new strategy will also be accelerated by changes in the company's Management Team.

The aim of the changes in the operating model is to speed up decision-making, increase the efficiency of strategy implementation and to improve accountability, transparency, and productivity.

As of 1 January 2021, Terveystalo's organization will consist of five business areas;

  • Corporate health, led by SVP Marja-Leena Tuomola,
  • Consumer business, led by SVP Veera Siivonen,
  • Public services, led by SVP Mikko Tainio,
  • Growth businesses led by SVP Petri Keksi, as well as
  • Medical clinic network led by SVP Siina Saksi

Each business area has a clear responsibility for results with an aim to be the market leader in their respective areas of operation. The medical clinic network is responsible for providing efficient and high-quality healthcare and well-being services to customers within a network of more than 300 physical clinics and digital service channels.

We will continue to build a true customer’s health partnership model and the smartest service platform in the industry with a clear division in roles. The updated structure allows us to focus on areas that are key to our future value creation; increasing the profitability of private health services, further developing public services as an independent business, making strategic acquisitions and strengthening our digital service platform,” says Ville Iho, President and CEO of Terveystalo.

The business areas are supported by six key functions:

  • Medical quality and Management, led by Chief Medical Officer Petri Bono
  • Finance, led by CFO Ilkka Laurila
  • Digitalisation and IT, led by CDO Juha Juosila
  • HR, led by SVP, Human Resources, Minttu Sinisalo
  • Law and Compliance, led by SVP, Legal, Elina Saviharju
  • Communications, Corporate responsibility and stakeholder relations led by VP, Communications, Kati Kaksonen

Pia Westman, who previously was responsible for Diagnostics and digital health business area, will lead separate strategic growth projects. SVP, Growth businesses Petri Keksi moves to his new position from the role of Business director, Oral health services. Before his current role, Keksi oversaw Group M&A function. All the above report to Ville Iho, President and CEO.

In addition to President and CEO, Terveystalo's Management Team will consist of the heads of the business areas and the heads of the following functions: Medical Quality and Management, Finance, Digitalisation and IT, HR, and Law and Compliance.

The new operating model and appointments will take effect on January 1, 2021. Terveystalo's current customer-based reporting structure will remain unchanged, and there will be no changes to the company's financial reporting.
