Skin Care Company Shares How to Create the Ultimate Spa Experience at Home

(April 13, 2012) Pompano Beach, FL Skin care company Philosophy believes in inspiring mothers to live better lives by being better to themselves.  Make sure to tune in to BrandStar Entertainment’s popular morning show “The Balancing Act” on April 18th at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT) as Heidi Guest from Philosophy joins the show to talk to viewers about creating the ultimate spa experience in your own home.  The episode is airing as part of the Mother’s Day Special with Julie Moran on “The Balancing Act” on Lifetime television.

Achieving a spa-like retreat doesn’t have to be difficult or time consuming, and it’s the perfect way to give Moms everywhere the chance to pamper themselves.  During the episode, viewers will learn about mood-enhancing elements for their at-home spa starting with setting the scene with soothing music, scented candles and fresh flowers, and continuing the relaxing atmosphere with body scrubs, bubble bath and skin oils.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this Mother’s Day Special on the “Balancing Act” so we can share skin care and spa secrets with your Lifetime viewers. Mother’s often feel they don’t have the extra time to pamper themselves. With our simple tips, women can infuse spa treatments into their every day routines resulting in great looking skin and a sense of well-being,” says Heidi. ”We believe the best cosmetic is great looking skin.”

Safe and easy to use at home, some of the most popular spa treatments include facial steaming, and masks and facial peels, such as a microdermabrasion peel. Philosophy works with the medical community to formulate essential products that provide the “gold standard” of skin care -- Peels, Retinoids and Sun Protection -- all considered vital lines of defense against signs of aging.

“It’s a pleasure to have Philosophy on ‘The Balancing Act’ to introduce their skin care products to our Lifetime viewers. With Mother’s Day around the corner, Philosophy brings great ideas for busy moms everywhere to take time out for themselves, ”says Doug Campbell, Founder and Executive VP of Programming for The “Balancing Act.”
