CAMPING IN THE FOREST HOSTS WOODLAND MEDIA EVENT
Camping in the Forest is sharing its forest secrets at a showcase media event at one of its stunning New Forest campsites.
The event will run from Friday, July 12 to Saturday, July 13 at its Hollands Wood site, which is set in 22 hectares of awe-inspiring oak woodland and heathland, and is home to a wealth of wild animals and insects – you may even spot a couple of the New Forest ponies grazing nearby!
And the site already seems to be a popular choice with campers as it has seen a 27 per cent increase in the number of bookings for the month of July compared to the previous year.
The event will offer plenty of on-site activities for all to enjoy including:; forest walks with dedicated National Park Rangers, storytelling for children, plus bread making, shelter building and wild food medicinal plant tasting with Sunrise Bushcraft.
There will also be opportunities to explore the New Forest on horseback and by kayak (subject to availability) – providing great fun for all the family.
Evening entertainment is also offered with performances from a live music act and local food and produce for a tasty evening meal.
Please find your official invitation attached for more information.
Robert Louden, the Club’s Director General, is attending the event and he said: “In this tough economic climate, there’s never been a better time to experience camping and caravanning. Our Camping in the Forest Sites are ideally located and are a great option for an inexpensive getaway.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming you to our Hollands Wood campsite in the New Forest – I’m positive you’ll enjoy a really great forest experience.”
Camping in the Forest offers 19 campsites on idyllic Forestry Commission land across the UK.
