“After a successful 2014 season, we’re accelerating our winter redevelopment work with a further £1m of reinvestment. We hope that members and non-members are inspired to come and experience our improved site network offering for themselves.”
The ‘Year of the Bike’ really resonated with the Club due to its ties with our founding member, Thomas Hiram-Holding. National Camping and Caravanning Week, which is into its 14th year, is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our heritage – and the nation’s love for camping, caravanning and the great outdoors!
Cycling is an activity that is extremely popular with our members – in fact we’ve already seen a 258 per cent increase in the number of advance bookings from July 5-7 on our Club Sites that are close to the UK leg of the world’s most popular cycling race!
Our new Site videos have been received phenomenally well – we are totally committed to delivering a great digital experience to ensure the decision-making process in booking a holiday with the Club, is even easier.
“I have had the pleasure of working with the Club for several years, so to now have been elected as President is a true honour and one that I plan to immerse myself in.
“We continue to operate in a highly competitive environment and that’s why we must adapt to the changing trading conditions – we can’t always rely on the weather despite a good summer this year!
“Caravans have been singled out in these proposals and that is completely unfair.”
Some drivers like to stay in hotels; some even fly into the circuits in helicopters. For me, I love having my home-from-home. There is something special about camping, I've always enjoyed it.
“I am absolutely stunned and feel very privileged to be in the company of so many talented people who I know have also received honours.”
“There are so many ‘Perks’ to experience when out camping – they can be as small as enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sunset, spotting a rare animal when out walking or even popping down to the farmers’ market to taste some local produce; either way, camping has something for everyone.
Our site is located on the less-well-known south side of Loch Ness, in a tranquil area that offers stunning scenery and panoramic views of the Loch and the mountains beyond.
“We want to make Loch Ness the best site in Scotland, but ultimately we also want to make it the best site in the UK.
