CAMPING IN THE FOREST PARTNERS WITH VISITENGLAND AND THE FORESTRY COMMISSION TO PROMOTE FOREST BREAKS
Camping in the Forest has partnered with VisitEngland and the Forestry Commission to help launch the new ‘More in the Forest’ campaign which promotes summer holidays in England’s woodlands.
The campaign highlights the wide range of activities available for families to enjoy in England’s forests and aims to boost domestic tourism.
Additional key national partners also supporting the campaign are Go Ape and Forest Holidays.
Camping in the Forest sites are operated and managed by The Camping and Caravanning Club in partnership with the Forestry Commission. They continue to be a popular, inexpensive holiday option, particularly as they have a whole host of activities available directly from the sites including: family cycling, mountain biking, walking, wildlife spotting, stargazing plus much more.
Robert Louden MBE, Director General at The Camping and Caravanning Club, said: “We’re looking forward to working with all key partners to help with the promotion of holidaying in England’s forests to encourage domestic tourism and, in turn, help to boost the local economy.
“Our Camping in the Forest Sites are all located on idyllic Forestry Commission woodland and have a whole host of activities in close proximity for holidaymakers of all ages to enjoy.”
James Berresford, Chief Executive of VisitEngland, added: “Our forests are one of England’s great assets and the diversity of their offering is worth shouting about. As well as being a great spot for a walk or a picnic, English forests also offer beautiful campsites, adventurous zip wires, luxury accommodation, wildlife walks and more.
“We’re delighted to be working with our partners Forestry Commission, Forest Holidays, Camping in the Forest and Go Ape to promote forest holidays in what promises to be a fantastic English summer.”
