CLUB JOINS FORCES WITH BEAR GRYLLS EVENT TO OFFER CAMPERS SAVINGS
Competitors and spectators at the Bear Grylls Survival Race and Festival now have an extra incentive to pitch up at a Camping and Caravanning Club Site this October.
The event runs from 3-4 October at Trent Park, London, and the Club is offering participants discounts of up to 30% from 2-6 October inclusive on the cost of a pitch at its four local Club Sites.
To support the event, festival participants who are not-yet Club members will have the opportunity to camp at member rates at the four Club campsites when using the discount code BEAR.
Taking part in the promotion are Kelvedon Hatch, Chertsey, Hertford and Theobalds Park Camping and Caravanning Club Sites.
TV adventurer and presenter Bear Grylls heads up the Scout Association as Chief Scout, and is a Vice President of The Camping and Caravanning Club.
He is famed in the UK for shows including Mission Survive, and in the US for Escape from Hell and Running Wild with Bear Grylls.
The event is a celebration of survival, fitness and the great outdoors, and organisers are expecting in excess of 20,000 people over the course of the weekend.
To take advantage of the promotion, after booking their pitch using the code, non-members of the Club will also need to provide confirmation of participation in the Bear Grylls Survival Races or Festival, and present this on arrival at any of the four participating Club Sites.
Bookings can be made online or by calling the Club’s Site Booking Team on 02476 475426.
Bear Grylls said: “This is about empowering people to test and extend their adventure fitness, using the type of obstacles that I have often encountered in the wild. We all have an edge, and this race is designed to push those physical and mental limits, to there and beyond.”
Club Marketing and Communications Director Paul Jones said: “Bear Grylls is a great ambassador for getting outdoors and disconnecting from technology. This promotion is a natural extension of the Club’s relationship with him as a Vice President, and we’re thrilled to present this offer to campers who’re not yet Club members but want to enjoy a camping experience during this year’s event."
