The Camping and Caravanning Club is continuing to strengthen its position as a digital industry leader as it today, launches its new-look campsite web pages (www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk) specifically designed to offer a smoother visitor experience.

Following feedback from members, more than 3,000 individual pages have been updated providing clearer information to help holidaymakers plan their camping trips.

Each site page now has an easy-to-use facility key and offers clear pricing options - plus they’re also packed with travel information, glossy images, 360 degree videos, customer reviews and site specific questions and answers.

And with almost 40 per cent of the Club’s website visitors now accessing information via a tablet or mobile device, the Club has also ensured that the new product pages have fully responsive designs for ease of use.

Evleen Price, the Club’s Senior Digital Manager, has been driving the changes to the website and she said: “It’s an exciting time for the Club – our web traffic has increased significantly over the last few years and it’s imperative that we continue to improve our digital offering.

“As our sites pages are the most visited section of the website, it was very important to ensure all information was easily accessible. The new-look will provide users with a clear picture of exactly what each of our sites offer and give a clear steer on price, ensuring that the decision making process in booking a holiday with us is as smooth as possible.

“And it’s also now a smoother process for mobile and tablet users. A growing number of our members are using these devices and we are delighted that all of our webpages are now responsive to their requirements. Not only can users utilise our SiteSeeker app (available on Apple and Android devices), they have the option of viewing information clearly on our website too.”

And it’s not just the site pages that are changing. As part of its on-going online developments, the Club is currently working on a new booking system, which will make it even easier for users during their online journey.

Evleen added: “The booking system is another exciting step for the Club and one which our members will receive full support with. In fact, we’re encouraging members to engage with us to help improve, enhance and test the online booking pages in the future.

“To assist members who are using the new booking system for the first time, we’ll be putting together a series of ‘How to Book’ videos to ensure they understand how to use the system smoothly – and how easy it is to book their holidays with the Club!”

And holidaymakers have plenty of campsite choice! The Club has 109 Club Sites and 19 Camping in the Forest Sites for people to choose from and it is continuously improving its membership offering.

It recently unveiled its new Loch Ness Shores Site, which is located on the south shore of the world famous loch, and is set to announce new site offering in 2014.

The Club also has an on-going network development programme in place, allowing it to strengthen its campsite portfolio and offer high standards for campers, at great value for money.
