Horace Mann’s #EdTech Survival Kit Giveaway puts technology in the classroom
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (Sept. 2, 2014) – Educators throughout the country have a chance to add technology to their classroom in Horace Mann’s #EdTech Survival Kit Giveaway. Ten winners will get their choice of an iPad mini or Chromebook, Solo or Tour Beats headphones and a $50 App Store gift card.
Starting Sept. 2, educators can enter by liking Horace Mann’s Facebook page and completing the entry form. Entries will be taken until Sept. 19 at 2:00 p.m.
In Horace Mann’s latest Educator Advisory Panel Survey, teachers ranked technology as the best way to reward or recognize a teacher. The panel was asked, “If you had $10,000 and could give away a prize that would DELIGHT a fellow teacher, what would it be?” Forty-one percent answered technology.
“As an insurance company with the mission to serve educators in and out of the classroom, we know teachers use iPads and Chromebooks for their lesson plans, to encourage students to read or do math and sometimes to just relax,” says Social Media Analyst Nate McGrath. “This contest is a perfect way to reward educators and give them a chance to win something they can use personally and professionally as they head back into the classroom.”
