Teachers enter contest by Feb. 12 to win trip to learn more about Lincoln
Springfield, Ill., February 1, 2012 - We know schools don’t always have money to give teachers continuing education opportunities. So here’s your chance to learn for FREE!
The Horace Mann Companies, an insurance and financial services company Founded by Educators for Educators®, teamed up with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (ALPLM) to offer teachers the opportunity to win a trip to study the life and legacy of our 16th president. Trip winners study from the ALPLM in downtown Springfield, Ill., the hub of Lincoln’s professional career as a lawyer and businessman.
Don’t let the opportunity pass you by – follow these steps to enter the contest by February 12:
- Take a picture of you - and maybe your students - with Abraham Lincoln. This is your chance to show off your creativity and your part of the country!
- Visit our Facebook page, click on the “Abe Across America” tab and click “Vote or Enter Now” for all the contest details, including the rules.
- Upload your original photo and complete the entry form, which includes a brief question on how you’ll use what you learn about Lincoln in your school.
- Spread the word! Get your colleagues to vote for your entry!
