Entrepreneurs’ Organization Launches First “Garden State Entrepreneur Excellence Award”
(March 20, 2013 – Boonton, NJ): The New Jersey chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO NJ) and The Star-Ledger/NJ.com announced a call for entries for the first annual Garden State Entrepreneur Excellence Award (www.GardenStateEntrepreneur.com). EO NJ and the Star Ledger have partnered to create this award to honor New Jersey-based companies that exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit of the state. The 2013 Garden State Entrepreneur Excellence Award will be conferred in three levels of distinction by 2012 revenue levels: Under $1M, $1M-$10$ and $10M+. Entries will be judged by EO, The Star Ledger, and a celebrity judge: JJ Ramberg, host of MSNBC’s Your Business.
Winners will be recognized for their drive, perseverance, business creativity and business success stories with an award as well as a year’s membership in EO (for qualifying businesses; those who don’t qualify will receive a year of mentorship from EO). The Garden State Entrepreneur Excellence Award was created as a way to recognize and connect successful New Jersey entrepreneurs, and to help cultivate even more business growth within the state by increasing awareness of EO and the significant resources it offers.
“EO is a global organization that helps entrepreneurs continue to grow professionally and personally, and we are excited to honor successful New Jersey businesses and people who are making a difference in their industry,” said Carl Gould, President of the New Jersey Chapter of EO. “As the leading source for business news in our state, The Star Ledger is a natural partner and we are honored to be working with them.”
Garden State Entrepreneur Excellence Award eligibility and program details are available online at www.GardenStateEntrepreneur.com, where entries will be accepted through April 17, 2013. The three finalists in each category will be announced on May 6, 2013 and invited to an awards gala on May 20, 2013 where the winners of the first annual Garden State Entrepreneur Excellence Award will be named.
