Local Sports Blogger to Sit on Top Sports Conference Panel
New Jersey resident Jaime Hamel has been selected to sit on a panel at a gathering of top sports writers, bloggers and media personalities as part of the “Blogs With Balls 5” conference series, taking place in Toronto October 5-6.
Hamel, who resides in Westfield works as Digital Strategist at The S3 Agency in Boonton, New Jersey, which offers Advertising, Public Relations and Social Media services, also co-founded one of the country’s most popular sports blogs, The Sports Hernia. Through his work both in sports blogging and the planning and execution of social media campaigns for national brands, Hamel was selected to sit on a panel discussing Social Media, conducted by Amy K. Nelson of SBNation.com, to open the conference on October 5.
“It’s an honor to be included on a panel with people I really admire and I’m excited to share my experience and knowledge and also to learn from my fellow panelists and attendees,” said Hamel. “It’s great to get the opportunity to apply the skills I’ve developed in my career to my passion for sports.”
“Blogs With Balls 5” brings together influential figures in the world of sports media to share best practices working in the online space, and to educate companies on how to best utilize online sports opinion influencers and reach their audiences. The series also helps provide insight for athletes, teams and leagues looking to connect with the online world.
