Essen, 06 August 2024 – Whether it's an adventurous journey through the unknown or the annual trip to your favourite place: if you want to enjoy boundless freedom in your camper thanks to the perfect driving experience, a visit to the BILSTEIN stand at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon is a must. From 31 August to 8 September, chassis expert BILSTEIN will be exhibiting its BILSTEIN B6 Camper and B6 Camper Advanced shock absorbers, specially developed for camper vans, for the first time at the Caravan Salon in Hall 13, Stand A51. These high-performance shock absorbers have been specially developed for the requirements of motorhomes and camper vans and are ideal for making the van chassis even more comfortable and safe.

The registration-free BILSTEIN B6 Camper shock absorbers and the even higher-performance BILSTEIN B6 Camper Advanced with automatic damping force adjustment turn converted panel vans or semi-integrated motorhomes into even more comfortable and safer vehicles. This is because campers' homes on wheels are usually packed to the payload limit, have a higher centre of gravity and carry heavy external loads, such as bike racks. In order to meet these high demands on the chassis, BILSTEIN has used its expertise as a long-standing development partner to leading car manufacturers and suppliers of premium suspension technology to develop special solutions tailored to camper needs. The BILSTEIN B6 Camper shock absorbers have been extensively tuned to the parameters of motorhomes and camper vans in road tests and optimised down to the last detail.

Upgrade of the transporter dampers

If motorhome or panel van owners replace the standard dampers on the van chassis with the reinforced B6 Camper or B6 Camper Advanced shock absorbers from BILSTEIN, they significantly reduce the vehicle's tendency to roll in bends and the sensitivity to side winds. This results in significantly safer and more precise driving behaviour – and a relaxed arrival. The stronger damping also reduces driving noise thanks to the optimised rolling behaviour BILSTEIN technology can be easily installed by vehicle professionals in the workshop without the need for registration – and at a manageable cost: the installation costs are no higher than for conventional shock absorbers. This means that changing the dampers can also be an attractive alternative to air suspension; in combination with air suspension, customers have the perfect package.

The BILSTEIN products are suitable for motorhomes and panel vans based on the Fiat Ducato from model year 2006 (Light & Heavy) as well as for all identically constructed vehicles from Citroën, Peugeot and Opel: the Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer and the Opel Movano. The shock absorber specialist also offers the up-and-coming Sprinter models 906, 907 and 910 in its camper programme. Solutions for other variants and vehicle applications are to follow.

We look forward to your visit to the BILSTEIN stand and interesting discussions over a delicious ice cream!
