Essen, 11 June 2024 – The BILSTEIN B14, jointly developed by BILSTEIN and Deimann Fahrwerktechnik especially for the VW transporter, is being launched as a new edition. The threaded coilover system has been well received by campers “across national borders”, explains Florian Wild, Managing Director of suspension specialist Deimann Fahrwerktechnik.
Sporty and comfortable damper control – harmonious character
The threaded coilover system for the VW transporter of the T5, T6 and T6.1 range scores points with a flexible lowering of around 40 to 70 millimetres and its sporty and comfortable characteristics. In addition to an attractive look, Deimann Fahrwerktechnik has developed a high level of dynamic performance and a significant reduction in pitch and roll movements. Back in 2013, Deimann demonstrated just how powerful the driving dynamics of their VW transporters are: a VW T5 equipped with BILSTEIN B14 threaded coilover system beat the magic 10-minute barrier on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. And with a lap time of 9:57, the Deimann VW transporter set the Nordschleife record for commercial vehicles.
New edition of the BILSTEIN B14 optimised for the VW transporter
The completely revised threaded coilover system benefits from state-of-the-art production processes according to the strict quality standards of the automotive manufacturers. Among other things, the BILSTEIN developers have once again improved the stability of the damper characteristics. In addition, a new coating on the dampers and a new spring ensure better corrosion resistance of the suspension. The BILSTEIN B14 threaded coilover system for T5, T6 and T6.1 therefore offers even greater durability. Deimann’s specific requirements with regard to rebound and bump, characteristic damper setting and lowering rate have been retained.
