Online offer for more workshop expertise

Essen, 30 April 2024 – The e-training courses, which are available at any time, are a key component of the BILSTEIN Academy’s comprehensive training and education programme: after registering free of charge, e-training participants can complete six modules filled with interesting content at their own pace, with a final check of the learning objectives. The topics include for example “Fundamentals of suspension technology”, “Suspension testing and damage diagnosis for passenger cars” or “Passive damping systems”. The training units last around 20 minutes each and graduates can complete the course with a certificate.

The advantage: BILSTEIN e-training is available 24/7, and interested parties can access the modules at any time, regardless of their location. In addition to the courses in German and English, two courses are now also offered in Spanish, with more to follow. These additions make the BILSTEIN training programme even more international.

In the pure e-training courses, suspension knowledge is taught in a compact format using presentation slides and a catalogue of questions and will then be automatically tested as the learner progresses. We use the tried-and-tested ILIAS learning platform, as many universities do. If the result is good, the participant receives a certificate which can be printed out immediately after the e-training course.

“This is awesome. Everything builds on each other. Maybe some people will be interested in a more comprehensive live training course afterwards”, says Dimitris Kouvaras, Global Training Manager at BILSTEIN. He also sees the compact learning modules as a kind of taster programme. It can encourage people to make use of other offers.

The new training channel empowers BILSTEIN to reach also such partners who tend to shy away from conventional face-to-face and live online training courses due to the time involved or dates that are unfavourable. And e-training is an intelligent alternative if no BILSTEIN face-to-face courses are available locally. This also applies if a time difference makes it difficult to participate in virtual live training sessions with a trainer.

We now have new dates for the virtual BILSTEIN training courses from May to July, both in German and English. These training courses take place regularly and are free of charge. They provide comprehensive insight into a specific suspension-related topic in just one hour. A trainer from the BILSTEIN Academy conducts the units and ensures an interesting learning experience using practical examples and interactive elements. Questions can be answered directly and discussions are also possible thanks to state-of-the-art software.
