Experts showcase the company’s industry-leading gearless conveyor drive technology that improves availability and reliability

DENVER (Feb. 17, 2017) – A wide range of products, technology and solutions from thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions await visitors to the 2017 Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) Annual Conference & Expo in Denver, from Sunday, February 19 through Wednesday, February 22 at the Colorado Convention Center (Booth 1529).

As a leading engineering, equipment, construction and service provider, thyssenkrupp will focus the exhibit on its market-leading offerings for the mineral processing, mining and materials handling industries. thyssenkrupp experts will be on-hand to discuss its broad product portfolio, including Polycom® high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) for economic processing of mineral ores; ball mill configurations for wet and dry grinding applications; bulk material handling systems; and semi-mobile crushing plants for surface mines to reduce operational costs.

In addition, thyssenkrupp specialists can speak to the 12 gearless conveyor drives successfully running at six mines across the globe. The company’s gearless conveyor drive technology for overland conveyor systems addresses the industry’s need for larger, longer and more powerful conveying systems. The technology offers customers higher plant availability and reduced operating and maintenance costs, as well as higher energy efficiency by up to four percent.

“Today, the global mining industry requires optimized products and technologies that couple operational efficiency with sustainable resource management at the highest level,” said Peter Sehl, Vice President, Mining, thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (USA). “As one of the few full-line global suppliers, it is our goal to work with our customers to deliver optimum technical and economic solutions that address every challenge and satisfy all requirements.”

thyssenkrupp’s extensive product range for the mining industry includes innovative equipment and systems for open pit mining, mineral processing and materials handling, as well as globally-networked warehousing, logistics services and 360-degree lifecycle services. thyssenkrupp also has an extensive range of standard machines and modules for raw materials processing – mainly crushers, screens, feeders and combinations thereof – that can be combined into modular systems. Various standardized parts allow thyssenkrupp to offer these machines at lower prices with shorter delivery times.
