Appointments in Tikkurila Management Team
Markus Melkko, M.Sc. (Tech.) B.Sc. (Econ.), 43, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and member of Tikkurila Management Team, starting from 11 April 2019.
Previously, Melkko has worked as CFO of Unisport-Saltex Group and CFO of Ekokem Group, and he has held several executive positions in Business Controlling and Strategy Development in e.g. Fazer and Outokumpu. In his current role as Group Controller at Tikkurila, he is responsible for wide-ranging reporting and business control functions and developing these on central level.

Markus is an experienced finance professional with track record in corporate accounting and leadership, and his extensive competence provides excellent support for the development of Tikkurila’s finance function.”
Jukka Havia, CFO and a member of the Tikkurila Management Team since 2010, has resigned from Tikkurila to pursue his career outside Tikkurila (stock exchange release 3.12.2018). Havia will continue in his current role until 11 April 2019 to ensure smooth transition when handing over CFO duties to Melkko.
Mika Uusitalo, M. Sc. (Econ.), 39, has been appointed Vice President, Sourcing as of 2 May 2019.
Uusitalo will be responsible for leading Tikkurila’s Sourcing function and have a significant role in developing the company’s direct and indirect sourcing activities and processes. He will report to CEO Elisa Markula.
Petri Miettinen, currently Senior Vice President, Sourcing, has decided to leave Tikkurila and pursue new work challenges outside the company as of 30 April 2019. “Petri has had a long career at Tikkurila, and I want to thank Petri for his longtime contribution to the company. We wish Petri all the best for the future," says Elisa Markula.
Uusitalo joins Tikkurila from PwC Finland, where he has been working as Director and Operations and Supply Chain consulting Leader since 2012. Prior to PwC, he has worked as Management Consultant and Project Leader at IBM and Project Manager for different transformation and operations development projects at Tamro Corporation and Glaston Finland.
