New Tokmanni in Loppi – store also has an outlet and a section selling local food

Tokmanni will open a new store in Launonen, which is in Loppi, on Tuesday 18 June 2019 at 8 a.m. In addition to the varied product assortment that is a feature of Tokmanni stores, there will also be an outlet and a local food section in the style of a shop-in-shop at the store. The opening of the Loppi store will be celebrated with plenty of special offers and surprise buckets filled with product gifts.
This Tokmanni store, located halfway between Loppi and Riihimäki by the busy route 54, will offer a varied and regularly updated assortment including beauty, health and wellbeing products, cleaning products, home decoration and renovation products, and seasonal products. There will also be a large selection of clothes and accessories, dry foodstuffs and leisure products, home electronics and entertainment goods. In addition, several producers from the local and neighbouring areas will sell their local food products in a section called Lähiruokapuoti Lopen Pehtoori and there will be a separate garden department selling various yard and garden products, such as seasonal tools and plants, and propane canisters. There will also be an outlet at the store, where products familiar from Tokmanni’s stores will be sold at special discount prices.
To ensure a quick and easy shopping experience, the store has spacious aisles, comprehensive signage and clearly defined product areas. There is a recycling point for small consumer electronics equipment, a reverse vending machine for empty bottles and cans, Veikkaus gaming services and a Posti Smartpost parcel point. Just like other Tokmanni stores, the store at Loppi will serve its customers as a collection point for orders made through the Tokmanni online store. Energy efficient LED technology will be used in the store’s lighting.
Retail selling space at the Tokmanni in Loppi, including the outlet, is approximately 2,500 square metres.

From the day of the opening on Tuesday until the end of the week, the new Tokmanni at Loppi will be bursting with special offers. And as usual at store openings, 1000 free buckets filled with product gifts will be handed out to the first customers on the opening morning.
The Loppi store will serve customers, under the management of Store Manager Tero Vilppola, on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The address of the new Tokmanni store, which will employ around 13 customer service professionals, is Jylhäntie 8, 12540 Launonen.
Mathias Kivikoski, Sales and Marketing Director, will be representing the general discount retailer at the store opening on Tuesday morning. Mayor Mikko Salmela will hold a speech on behalf of the Municipality of Loppi at the opening event.
Tokmanni’s store chain continues to grow
Tokmanni's target is to expand its store network to include more than 200 stores and to increase its new retail selling space by approximately 12,000 square metres in net terms every year, which means around five new or relocated stores. At the time of the opening in Loppi, Tokmanni will have 189 stores around Finland.
This has been a very busy year for Tokmanni. Earlier in the year, Tokmanni opened eight Ale-Makasiini chain stores, two TEX chain stores and one Säästökuoppa store under the Tokmanni brand name, and a new store in Tesoma, Tampere. In addition, Tokmanni relocated to new premises in Hanko and Juuka, and reopened a refurbished store on Kehräämötie in Kajaani and a refurbished and enlarged store in Turenki. In Siilinjärvi, Tokmanni centralised all of its store operations into the Tokmanni store that has been in operation in the town for many years by closing the Ale-Makasiini located in other premises nearby.
During the autumn, Tokmanni will expand its store network to two new locations, Vääksy and Virrat.¹)
