Tokmanni expands investments in B2B sales – Business customers served under a new name by a reinforced B2B sales team

Tokmanni, Finland’s largest variety discount retailer, has renewed its B2B sales function. Previously known in particular for its Yrittäjän Etukortti, which can be freely translated as “Entrepreneurs’ Bonus Card”, and already serving more than 30,000 customers, the B2B sales function is now called Tokmanni Tukku and has a new look, featuring a black bucket. Tokmanni’s B2B sales will also provide a more extensive service to direct delivery customers.

Tokmanni is a store for everyone – including businesses, associations and the public sector.

“If you value a wide range of products, low prices and reliable deliveries, you should become a Tokmanni Tukku business customer. In addition to businesses, Tokmanni Tukku is very happy to serve sports clubs, schools and kindergartens, for example. We offer a wide assortment of products for offices, catering and even for exercise activities, for example,” says Mikko Horto, Business Sales Manager at Tokmanni.

Last year, Tokmanni formed a five-member sales team to meet the needs of its direct sales customers in the renewed B2B sales function. In addition, Tokmanni Tukku has a three-member service team to help customers who use the Tokmanni Tukku wholesale card that entitles to in-shop discounts, previously the Entrepreneurs’ Bonus Card.

“Our business customers are already using the card, which entitles them to wholesale discounts in our stores all over Finland. With the support of our strengthened B2B sales team, we will be able to serve them better in the future, also outside our stores,” he says.

Value-for-money benefits and convenient direct deliveries

Business customers shopping at Tokmanni stores can use the Tokmanni Tukku wholesale card, which offers value-for-money benefits that make everyday life easier, such as discounts of up to 10 per cent* on Tokmanni's normal prices. Like its predecessor, the Tokmanni Tukku wholesale card is available as both a cash card and an account card.

“The Tokmanni Tukku wholesale card’s benefits are perfect for our customers, especially when they make smaller purchases on a regular basis. Our business customers’ favourite products are groceries and various products related to cleaning and interior decoration, and office supplies,” says Horto.

“Despite the name change, the terms and features of our card for business customers have not changed, so our existing business customers will not need to renew their cards," he adds.

For large purchases, direct deliveries, product enquiries and quote requests, Horto says it is best to contact Tokmanni’s B2B sales representatives.

“Our B2B sales representatives are happy to help our customers with any orders that require customisation. Not only do we focus on offering Tokmanni’s own product assortment, but thanks to our excellent sourcing expertise, we can help our business customers to find new products that are not included in the assortment, for example. We have a local purchasing organisation in Asia that can provide help when needed,” he says.

Tokmanni Tukku’s visual identity features a black version of the familiar red bucket, which is the variety discount retailer’s brand character.


*The Tokmanni Tukku wholesale card entitles you to a 10 per cent discount on the standard prices of clothing products and a 5 per cent discount on the standard prices of cosmetics, toiletries and cleaning products and home, interior, home electronics, entertainment and garden products, as well as food products, tools, electrical equipment and car care products. The discount does not apply to coffee, motor vehicles, stamps, gift cards, nappies, infant formula or deposits, or Finnkino or Veikkaus products. The discount cannot be combined with Tokmanni Klubi offers. The Tokmanni Tukku wholesale card cannot be used to buy tobacco or alcohol products.
