Tokmanni has expanded and renovated its store in Raisio – the expansion provides space for a wider assortment of low-priced products

Tokmanni, Finland’s leading general discount retailer, has expanded and renovated its Raisio store in line with its newest store concept, which emphasises quick and easy shopping.
The Tokmanni store, which has been serving customers in the centre of Raisio since 2016, was expanded by approximately 300 m2 to approximately 2,700 m2. The increase in space means the store’s product selections are now even wider than before in interior decoration and fitness, groceries and toys, for example.
New signage has also been added and the shelves have been reorganised, which will make shopping more enjoyable and improve the presentation of Tokmanni's product offering.
The Tokmanni in Raisio already had a recycling point for customers for small waste electrical and electronic equipment and a collection point for items purchased from Tokmanni’s online store. In addition, the store’s separate garden department will continue to serve customers.
“The expansion of the Tokmanni located in the centre of Raisio and other changes in the store are based on the wishes of our customers and staff. The spacious and modern store has a very comprehensive assortment and is a pleasant place to shop and work. The store is also easily accessible by car thanks to its large and covered parking area,” says Harri Koponen, Store Network and Concept Director at Tokmanni.
The Tokmanni store in Raisio employs around 15 retail sector professionals. Under the supervision of Store Manager Janina Rautiaisen, the store serves customers from 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays, from 8 am to 7 pm on Saturdays, and from 10 am to 6 pm on Sundays. The store’s address is Kauppakuja 2, 21200 Raisio.
The Tokmanni store in Raisio served its customers as normal during the renovation project.
Tokmanni takes care of safety in many ways
Special attention is paid to ensuring a safe shopping experience. The safety of customers and employees is ensured with protective screens installed at checkouts and by offering customers hand sanitiser during their visit and reminding them to keep a safe distance with posters and announcements. In addition, it is recommended that employees and customers wear face masks. To celebrate the completion of the renovation project, the Tokmanni store in Raisio will have special offers from Thursday 18 March to Sunday 21 March 2021. Because of the coronavirus situation, no events will be held at the store, and no surprise gift buckets will be handed out to customers.
