Tokmanni opens remodelled stores in Keminmaa and Lieksa – The Keminmaa Centtilä store reopens under the Tokmanni brand

Finland's largest discount retailer chain has significantly remodelled its stores in Keminmaa and Lieksa to improve the customer experience. The remodelled stores will be reopened on Thursday 13 February 2020 at 8 a.m. True to Tokmanni style, the openings will feature plenty of special offers and Tokmanni’s much-loved free buckets filled with product gifts.
The Centtilä store in Keminmaa, which joined the Tokmanni brand in early 2019, will continue to serve its customers under the Tokmanni Centtilä name. Located in its familiar premises, the Centtilä store will still sell many of the products its customers are accustomed to, including horse and riding equipment, fresh food and tools. Since joining the Tokmanni brand, the store's product categories, especially interior decoration and cleaning products, have been renewed. In addition, new products have been added to the beauty, health and wellbeing category in particular. Tokmanni also offers a wealth of seasonal new products. The garden department at the store sells various yard and garden products, such as seasonal tools and plants, and propane canisters.
At the Tokmanni in Lieksa, the assortment has been further expanded in several product categories.
In order to improve the customer experience at both stores, product placement has also been simplified in accordance with Tokmanni's latest store concept, and checkout areas, store fittings and signage have been renewed. Energy efficient LED lighting has also been installed at the stores.
The store in Keminmaa has about 2,250 square metres of retail selling space and the store in Lieksa has about 1,300 square metres.
“We are very pleased with the renewals at our stores in Keminmaa and Lieksa. They are now far more spacious, more pleasant and provide a better service. Many of the changes are based on customer wishes, and we are confident that the changes will help us serve our customers even better,” says Mathias Kivikoski, Sales and Marketing Director at Tokmanni.
In addition to Tokmanni’s usual weekly store offers, both stores will feature many opening offers (electronic advertising leaflets in Finnish: Keminmaa and Lieksa) from the opening morning until the end of the week. And as usual at Tokmanni openings, the first customers will receive free buckets filled with product gifts. On the opening morning, 1,000 buckets will be handed out at the Keminmaa store and 500 at the Lieksa store.
Tokmanni will serve its customers at both locations according to its normal opening hours: on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store in Keminmaa will employ 12 people and the store in Lieksa will employ 10. The Tokmanni in Keminmaa will be headed by Store Manager Raili Prykäri and the store in Lieksa by Store Manager Jouni Karttunen. The Tokmanni store in Keminmaa is located at the address Kisällinkuja 10 and the store in Lieksa at the address Pielisentie 28–30.
At the store openings on Thursday morning, the general discount retailer will be represented by the stores’ employees together with Regional Manager Toni Kauttio at the Keminmaa store and Regional Manager Markku Heiskanen at the Lieksa store.
