Tokmanni reopens its comprehensively remodelled store in Olari, Espoo – Transformation considerably improves the customer experience

Finland's largest general discount retailer chain has significantly remodelled its store in Olari, Espoo to improve the customer experience. The remodelled Tokmanni store will be reopened on Thursday 22 October 2020 at 8 am. True to Tokmanni style, the opening of the spacious and more attractive store will feature plenty of special offers and Tokmanni’s famous free buckets filled with product gifts. Tokmanni will, naturally, be ensuring a safe shopping experience also at the store opening.

Customers at the store in Olari, Espoo will now be able to enjoy a more modern store that offers a better service. In accordance with Tokmanni's latest store concept, the store has new signage and fittings, and wider aisles. Tokmanni’s modern image will also be supported in the future with a recycling point for small electrical and electronic equipment waste intended for customers and energy-saving LED lighting.

To facilitate shopping, Tokmanni's diverse product assortment and shelves have been reorganised into clearer entities than before. The store's drinks selection has also been further extended, for example. The locations of the store’s entrance gates and checkout points have also been moved to improve the customer experience.

The Tokmanni in Olari, Espoo has almost as much retail selling space at as before, at about 3,300 square metres. The store will still feature an extensive garden department, a pick-up point for items bought from Tokmanni's online store and a Posti Parcel Point. In addition, an Otto ATM is located by the store as usual. Before the end of the year, Lehtipiste Pakettipiste parcel lockers will be added to the store's selection of services.

The Tokmanni store in Olari, Espoo employs about 20 retail sector professionals. The store, headed by Store Manager Jani Kolari, will serve customers on weekdays from 8 am to 9 pm, on Saturdays from 8 am to 7 pm and on Sundays from 11 am to 6 pm. The store’s address is Pihatörmä 1, 02240 Espoo.

The Tokmanni in Olari, Espoo served its customers as normal during the remodelling that was carried out during early autumn.

Safety first, also at the opening

Tokmanni will take special precautions to ensure a safe shopping experience at the opening of the Tokmanni store in Olari, Espoo. The safety of the customers and employees will be ensured at the new Tokmanni with protective screens installed at checkouts and by offering customers hand sanitizer during their visit and reminding them to keep a safe distance with posters and announcements. Additionally, the personnel will be instructed to wear face masks. To avoid crowding during the opening, the number of customers inside the store at one time will be limited, if necessary.

The opening offers will be valid for four days, from Thursday to Sunday, 22–25 October 2020. To avoid queues, Tokmanni will distribute tokens for its famous surprise buckets to the first 500 paying customers at the store in Olari, Espoo. By presenting their token, the customers will be able to collect their surprise bucket containing product gifts from outside the store on the opening day safely without having to queue. In addition to the product gifts, a EUR 50 Tokmanni gift voucher has been hidden in two of the buckets.
