Tokmanni to expand its Miny store network – The next Miny stores will be opened in Lahti and Tampere

Tokmanni launched its strongly expanding Miny lifestyle brand last year. Miny products are already sold in more than 20 Tokmanni stores and four Miny stores*. The picture above is from the Miny store that was opened in the Jumbo-Flamingo entertainment and shopping centre in Vantaa last autumn.

Tokmanni has been delighting its customers with its Miny lifestyle brand since last year. Now Tokmanni has concluded agreements on opening two new Miny stores. The new stores will be opened in very centrally located business locations in the Trio shopping centre in the heart of Lahti and in the immediate vicinity of Central Square in Tampere. The store openings are estimated to be celebrated at the end of May this year.

In Lahti, the new Miny store will be located on the street level of the Trio shopping centre at Aleksanterinkatu 18, and in Tampere in a commercial building at Aleksis Kiven katu 18.

The new Miny stores will have about 200 square metres of space. Tokmanni already has four similar Miny stores: in the Lippulaiva shopping centre in Espoo, in the Forum Jyväskylä shopping centre in Jyväskylä, in the Jumbo-Flamingo entertainment and shopping centre in Vantaa and in the IsoKristiina shopping centre in Lappeenranta.

– The Miny lifestyle brand we launched last year has proven to be very popular. By expanding our store network, we bring Miny’s product range closer to our customers, says Juha Valtonen, Tokmanni’s Vice President, Sourcing.

The Trio shopping centre in Lahti and the Central Square in Tampere, which will get the Miny stores next, are very familiar to Tokmanni, as the variety discount retailer has long served its customers with its Tokmanni stores in both locations.

Miny’s assortment consists of more than one thousand different beauty, wellness and interior decoration products as well as countless other products with an excellent price-to-quality ratio, such as soft toys, bags, kitchen accessories and apparel.

– The product offering is at its widest online and in Miny stores. The selection of the Miny shop-in-shop department, which can be found in more and more Tokmanni stores, is a little narrower than in the online store and the Miny stores, Valtonen sums up.

Miny stores typically employ a few retail professionals. Often, some of the personnel of the nearby Tokmanni store are handling customer service in the Miny store.

Miny in brief

According to its slogan, Miny will offer plenty of surprising and interesting things to buy. “Kaikkea kivaa, mutta ei mitään kallista. Me olemme Miny.” can be freely translated as “Big on fun, small in price. We are Miny”.
