Tokmanni to open a new store in Eurajoki

Tokmanni and the municipality of Eurajoki have been preparing a real estate transaction on Kauppatie 4, 27100 Eurajoki. The size of the plot is approximately 15,000 square metres. The Board of Eurajoki municipal will handle the matter at its meeting on Tuesday 27 June 2023.

Tokmanni’s goal is to expand its store network by constructing a new Tokmanni store on the plot, which is located in the immediate vicinity of highway 8. The new store will have approximately 3,000 square metres of space.

“We are very happy to announce the opening of a new Tokmanni store in Eurajoki. The store, which will have around 3,000 square metres of space, will allow us to offer the residents of the municipality as well as other customers in Eurajoki a versatile product assortment,” says Harri Koponen, Vice President, Store Network and Concept at Tokmanni.

“Our plan is to start the construction of the new store building during the current year, and to open the store in autumn 2024,” he adds.

Eurajoki is located in the region of Satakunta, about 15 kilometres from the city of Rauma and about 35 kilometres from the city of Pori. Eurajoki has a population of more than 9,000 inhabitants, and there are also a lot of summer and other leisure residents in the area.

Tokmanni’s store network is growing and renewing

Tokmanni has entered into agreements on the opening of new stores in the Revontuli shopping centre in the centre of Rovaniemi, Tiiriö in Hämeenlinna, and Pälkäne. In addition, Tokmanni has signed a contract on a significant expansion of its store in the Ruoholahti shopping centre in Ruoholahti in Helsinki. The new stores in Rovaniemi and Hämeenlinna will replace the Tokmanni stores currently serving in the centre of Rovaniemi and in Tiiriö in Hämeenlinna.

The plan is to celebrate the opening of the new Tokmanni store in Rovaniemi at the beginning of September this year, and the new store in Tiiriö in Hämeenlinna in November this year. In Pälkäne, Tokmanni’s goal is to start the construction of a new store building on the plot immediately after obtaining a building permit. In Ruoholahti in Helsinki, Tokmanni aims to carry out the expansion of the store by the end of August this year.

Tokmanni has renewed its store network also during the beginning of 2023. It celebrated its latest Tokmanni store opening in May in Konala in Helsinki. Also in May, the stores dedicated to Tokmanni’s popular Miny lifestyle brand, which was launched in 2022, were opened in the Trio shopping centre in Lahti and in the immediate vicinity of Tampere Central Square. In addition, in May, Click Shoes footwear store chain, which was acquired by Tokmanni earlier this year, celebrated a store opening at the Pasaati shopping centre in Kotka. Earlier this year, Tokmanni, for example, expanded its store in Pihtiputaa and acquired the business operations of the store that was previously known as Jyskän Varastomyymälä in Jyskä in Jyväskylä and integrated it into the Tokmanni brand.

Currently, Tokmanni has 200 Tokmanni stores, six Miny stores, 27 Click Shoes stores and two Shoe House stores around Finland.


Tokmanni aims to expand its store network in Finland to more than 220 Tokmanni stores by the end of 2025.
