Tokmanni to open a superstore in Tiiriö in Hämeenlinna

Tokmanni has signed a long-term lease agreement for new store premises in Tiiriö in Hämeenlinna at the address Katsastusmiehentie 9, 13130 Hämeenlinna. The aim is to celebrate the opening of the store, located in premises measuring 9,000 square metres, in October or November this year.

In the new premises, Tokmanni is planning to open a store that offers the variety discount chain’s most extensive product range and represents a new store concept. Tokmanni already has a store of a similar size in Tornio, which was renovated last year.

Just like the Tokmanni in Tornio, the new store in Tiiriö will combine an exceptionally extensive product offering, a store concept emphasising quick and easy shopping and inspiring special departments with a distinct visual appearance from the rest of the store image.

“The premises measuring approximately 9,000 square metres will enable Tokmanni to significantly expand its selections and thus improve its competitiveness in the Hämeenlinna region,” says Harri Koponen, Vice President, Store Network and Concept.

Tokmanni has already had a store of around 3,500 square metres in Tiiriö for many years. The current store in Tiiriö, located at Pitkätanhuankatu 1, 13130, Hämeenlinna, will serve its customers as normal until its closure when the new store is opened.

The staff at Tokmanni’s current store will transfer to the new store when it opens. In addition to the existing staff, new employees will also be hired for the new store in the autumn.


Tokmanni aims to expand its store network in Finland to more than 220 Tokmanni stores by the end of 2025.
