TOMRA SELECTED FOR NEW SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY INDEX

Asker, Norway, 1 October 2003 - TOMRA has been selected as one of only 70 companies to be included in the new Kempen/SNS Smaller Europe Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Index.

The index, which was officially launched today by Kempen Capital Management and SNS Asset Management, has been developed to help investors evaluate the SRI performance of smaller companies in Europe. The initial 70 members of the index have been selected by Kempen and SNS after an extensive research and screening process that included over 1,700 companies which have a market capitalization of two billion euro or less.

With this new distinction, TOMRA's position as a leading socially responsible investment is now recognized by seven major SRI indexes, including the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI World and DJSI Stoxx), FTSE4Good Index, Ethibel Sustainability Index, Storebrand Best in Class Index, and the Nordic Sustainability Index.
