TOMRA Q3: Preparing for Introduction of Deposit in NSW and All-Time High Sorting Order Intake

Revenues in the third of quarter 2017 amounted to 1,855 MNOK compared to 1,715 MNOK in the third of quarter 2016. This represents an increase of 8%. Adjusted for acquisitions, revenues were unchanged for TOMRA Group. The gross contribution margin was 43% in the quarter, unchanged from the third quarter of 2016. Somewhat improved margins in TOMRA Collection Solutions offset slightly lower margins in TOMRA Sorting Solutions. The Group reported operating expenses of 496 MNOK in the third quarter, up from 408 MNOK in the third quarter of last year. This represents an increase of 4%

TOMRA: Continued Good Performance

Currency adjusted revenues was up 19% in the quarter compared to same period last year. Revenues amounted to 1,564 MNOK compared to 1,360 MNOK in first quarter last year. Organic, currency adjusted revenues were up 5% in TOMRA Collection Solutions and up 8% in TOMRA Sorting Solutions. Gross margin was 40% in the quarter, down from 42% same period last year, with slightly lower margins in both business areas. The lower margin in Sorting Solutions is explained by inclusion of Compac. Operating expenses increased from 421 MNOK in first quarter 2016 to 475 MNOK in first quarter 2017,

Revenues in the second quarter 2016 amounted to 1,769 MNOK compared to 1,472 MNOK in second quarter last year. Revenues in TOMRA Collection increased by 27% (up 18% currency adjusted), while revenues in TOMRA Sorting were up 10% (up 2% currency adjusted). Gross margin was 43% in the quarter, up from 42% in the corresponding period last year, explained by slightly higher margins in TOMRA Collection (from product mix). A healthy Q1 for the TOMRA GroupThe TOMRA Group reported total revenues of 1,360 MNOK compared to 1,107 MNOK in first quarter 2015, representing a currency-adjusted increase of 12%. Collection Solutions increased revenues by 14% after adjusting for currencies compared to last year. Sorting Solutions showed a positive 10% growth for the same period. Adjusting for currency effects gross margin declined from 43% to 42% in the quarter. The margin in Collection Solutions was slightly down in the period. Gross margin in Sorting Solutions was stable compared to same period last year.

Revenues in the fourth quarter 2015 amounted to 1,816 MNOK compared to 1,400 MNOK in the fourth quarter 2014.
