Appointment of chief executive officer

APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Transcom WorldWide S.A., the European call center specialist, today announced the appointment of Keith Russell as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr Russell will take up his new role by late August, at which time Vigo Carlund, who has been acting as temporary President and Chief Executive Officer of Transcom for the last two and a half years, will step down. Mr Carlund will continue in his full time role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Industriförvaltnings AB Kinnevik, Transcom's former parent company. Mr Russell joins Transcom from British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB), where he held various senior positions since his appointment as Commercial & Business Development Manager for BSkyB's installation business in 1997, and has extensive experience in the field of customer relationship management (CRM). In 2000, he became Call Center Operations Director for Sky Services, and since then has been responsible for all BSkyB's customer call center operations, which employ more than 7,000 staff. Prior to joining BSkyB, Mr Russell worked for PolyGram Records and Electronic Data Systems.
