Transcom opens third call center in Italy

TRANSCOM OPENS THIRD CALL CENTER IN ITALY Transcom WorldWide S.A., the European CRM specialist, today announced that it is to open a third Italian call center in Lecce, Southern Italy at the beginning of 2003. The call center will trade as a branch of Transcom WorldWide SpA and is expected to have 208 employees by the end of the second quarter next year. Transcom established its first call center in Milan in April 1999 and its second call center in L'Aquila in July 2000. The new call center, which is being funded entirely from Transcom's operating cash flow, will build on Transcom's ability to provide customer relationship management services to the Italian market. Keith Russell, CEO of Transcom WorldWide, commented: "The new call center in Lecce will add capacity to our existing facilities in Italy, where we already have 736 call handling agents. This development further extends our leadership as the call center operation with the widest geographical coverage of any call center operation in Europe. Once we have reached full capacity in Lecce, we will fast be approaching a total of more than 7,800 call handling agents across Europe".
