Children explore different career fields, enjoy the season at Triton College Fall Family Fun Fest on Oct. 6
Families are in for a treat when Triton College’s annual Fall Family Fun Fest returns to the college’s Botanical Gardens on Saturday, Oct. 6.
From games and activities to fall favorites, such as the ever-popular pumpkin patch and straw maze, families will enjoy a harvest of fun so much, they won’t want to “leaf.”
The free community event will have face painting, jewelry making, cupcake decorating, a ball toss game, family portraits, pumpkin painting, and back by popular demand, Maggie the Cow.
New this year, the festival will extend to the baseball field for two new activities: The Athletics Department will put baseball pitching skills to the test by measuring the speed of pitches during the need-for-speed activity and Triton's Center for Access and Accommodative Services will introduce families to Beep Ball. What is Beep Ball? It’s a game similar to baseball that is designed for play by blind athletes.
Fall Family Fun Fest is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open free to the public. Food and beverages will be sold by Triton's Hospitality program. For more information, call (708) 456-0300, ext. 3220 or visit www.triton.edu.
