Prominent Cuba democracy advocate to speak during Oct. 26 UT Arlington Diversity Lecture Series
ARLINGTON, Texas – Mauricio Claver-Carone has spent much of his career working in support of the policy positions that the United States has taken against the communist Cuban government. Now, just months after Fidel Castro’s resignation, the prominent advocate and former U.S. Department of Treasury attorney will discuss Cuba’s pro-democracy movement and his role in that crusade as part of The University of Texas at Arlington Diversity Lecture Series.
