UNYQ, the frontrunner in the development of revolutionary medical wearables, continues its growth trajectory with the announcement of a planned state-of-the-art, digital manufacturing facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. The new 3,000 square-foot-facility will co-locate at the just-announced fourth location of Hygge Coworking. UNYQ’s new Charlotte facility becomes the company’s new North American manufacturing hub.

This manufacturing facility is an important step to ensure capability for the next step in UNYQs development. Anticipated to open in December 2018, the facility will include a glass wall feature that will allow visitors to see UNYQ’s 3D printing process at work. An adjacent, private patient exam room for UNYQ patients and clinicians will allow clinicians to evaluate brace or component fit and modify items on-site.

UNYQ uses advanced 3D printing technology to make bespoke, fashion-forward covers for individuals with prosthetic limbs. The company also manufactures customized spinal braces for children, teens and adults with spinal conditions, such as scoliosis.

UNYQ teams up with select clinics across the globe, including in Charlotte, to offer patients the latest alternatives and technology, combined with bold, personalized style. These partners include leaders in the medical field such as Stanford Children’s Health and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The clean manufacturing process is environmentally-friendly and quiet, thereby not disturbing the new facility’s Hygge coworking neighbors.

“We are a company focused on an artistic and bold approach to medical products that allows individuals to show their unique personality and style. We are bringing customized products at an affordable price to more people than have ever been possible before, and this facility will allow us to produce even more, making us grow and allowing more people to recover on their own terms. We are very excited to begin production at this new facility”, says Eythor Bender, CEO of UNYQ.
