Vattenfall signs two year data center supply deal

Vattenfall and Swedish colocation service provider Hydro66 have signed a two year supply agreement for 100 percent renewable hydro power from the Luleå river, valid until 2017.

The 8.000 square meters Hydro66 colocation data center facility is located in Boden, northern Sweden. Initially the agreement covers a potential supply of 40-50 MW 100 percent renewable hydro power with certificates of Guarantee of Origin (GoO).

A 100 percent renewable energy supply, highly reliable power grids, and natural air cooling from the cold climate as well as a competitive and stable price offering are the key reasons for Hydro66 choosing Vattenfall as a supplier.

data center
