Visma has purchased the majority of shares in Swedish Legaltech companies Draftit AB and Draftit Privacy AB, thereby strengthening its position in digital compliance products. Through the acquisition, Visma enhances its compliance offerings within HR, GDPR, pay, school, and social care. Draftit has more than 3 000 customers and has received the award of ‘Super Company’ from Swedish financial paper Veckans Affärer, eight out of the last ten years.

Draftit was founded in 2004 with the vision of helping companies and organisations with compliance in a professional and efficient way. Draftit has since developed a set of tools covering multiple areas and increased the digitalisation for processes and awareness within the domain. Since laws and rules are increasing at the same time as risk in the form of sanctions and negative publicity in social media, the interest of the market has increased greatly.

“Draftit will remain a self-sustained company, with the same strategy and organisation as before. We will continue developing products and services where legal knowledge is combined with digital solutions which our customers will be able to use for compliance needs in the most professional and efficient way. With Visma backing us, we are seeing even stronger possibilities for a continued expansion,” says Per-Ola Rydgren, CEO of Draftit.

Visma has been monitoring Draftit’s success over a number of years and been impressed with the company’s success in helping customers to increase their efficiency through compliance, and the customer growth that this has generated.

“We clearly see the need and demand in the market regarding these types of products and services, and we are looking forward to becoming a long-term owner that can support Draftit’s continued growth and progress. Visma will be able to assist with resources and valuable experience so that the company can develop its offerings to both current and new clients,” says Steffen Torp, Division Director of Visma Software International.
