The acquisition expands Visma’s range of digital knowledge and content products into accounting, tax, payroll and HR.

Visma announces it has come to an agreement to buy Sticos AS, a Norwegian company providing digital content, courses, and expertise in compliance, making it easy for their customers to follow rules and regulations.

“With Visma, Europe's leading software company, as a strategic partner and owner, we look forward to further accelerating our growth ambitions”, says CEO of Sticos AS, Leif Arild Grytbakk. “It is clear that Visma is the best industrial owner to develop the company and our solutions further, and the time is now right”, says Grytbakk.

Sticos delivers modern cloud-based solutions, courses and advice, primarily for small and medium-sized companies, as well as municipalities and county governments. Over many years, the company has built up a solid position in providing digital content for accounting, payroll and HR. The company’s top product, called Sticos Oppslag, has been an indispensable support tool for accountants and auditors for several decades.

Sticos will continue as a separate company under its own brand, and products and services will continue to be developed, maintained and supported from Trondheim in Norway. The changes in ownership will not affect customers or employees.

“We are very pleased that Sticos will become part of the Visma family. We know the company well and are impressed by what they have achieved. Through our expertise in technology, accounting, payroll and HR, we want to further strengthen Sticos' products to the benefit of customers”, says CEO of Visma, Merete Hverven.

Sticos CEO, Leif Arild Grytbakk, sees numerous opportunities and synergies with Visma as owner. “Visma has expertise and experience that can further develop Stico's portfolio. This will provide unique opportunities to create added value for new and existing customers. Our strong focus on user-friendly competence tools will continue to be the most important drivers for the company”, Grytbakk concludes.

The transaction is subject to approval by the Norwegian Competition Authority.
