Performance highlights:
- T5 receives a new 2.4-litre (replacing 2.3-litre), 5-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering 257 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque (up 10 horsepower and 15 lb.-ft.)
- New T5 Turbocharger derived from high performance R vehicles
- T5 adds variable intake valve timing to variable exhaust valve timing
- Optional 6-speed manual transmission for T5
- New electronic controls for 5-speed automatic with Geartronic on T5 for faster gear changes
- T5 equipped with larger front brake discs

- New headlights with clear plastic lenses and high-pressure washers (replacing wipers)
- Clear lens taillights
- New colour-coordinated bumpers, door and lower sill mouldings
- New bumper design with changeable corner protection mouldings with chrome inlays
- New flat-blade windshield wipers
- Water-repellent coating to side mirrors (side windows optional)
