VTT’s KeepLoop mobile microscope actively used as teaching aid in Tampere school
A mobile microscope developed by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and commercialised by KeepLoop has been in active use at the Kämmenniemi School in Tampere. The school acquired its first KeepLoop microscope a couple of years ago. The device has been enthusiastically used in visual arts and media lessons in particular. “The mobile microscope can be used to see, study and capture images and videos of objects that are invisible to the human eye. It is possible to see features that are below one hundreth of a millimetre in size,” says Senior Scientist Jukka-Tapani Mäkinen of VTT.
